On Maundy Thursday, we remember Jesus’ commandment to love one another. As Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, we are called to follow his example as we humbly care for one another, especially the poor and unloved. At the Lord’s Table, we encounter Jesus’ presence. When we remember that the wine and the bread were given for us, we are reminded that we always live in God’s forgiveness. When we share in communion together, in a sense, we are made into what we eat: the body of Christ for our neighbors.
Our Maundy Thursday worship service will incorporate these concepts as we come together in a special Table Service in Fellowship Hall as we share a symbolic meal around the table. Please click the link below to sign up to contribute food or wine to our experience.
Donate an Easter lily to remember or honor your loved one. Lilies are $15 per plant and will be used to decorate our worship space on Easter Sunday and beyond. You are welcome to take your Easter lily after the 11:00 a.m. worship service on Easter Sunday or leave your lily for use throughout the Easter season. Contact the LMC office ([email protected]) to purcahse an Easter lily or fill out the bulletin insert when you come to church on Sunday.
Our first celebration of Christ's resurrection is on Staurday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Great Vigil of Ester. Immediately following the conclusion of worship, we celebrate the good news of the resurrection in community with a champagne toast and sweet treats.
