LMC is a strong and vibrant community because of the service of our members. We are a program led church that is governed by our Church Council, a dedicated and responsive group of volunteers elected by the congregation to guide us in our mission. Feel free to contact our Council executive team with your comments, questions or concerns or if you would like more information on serving on a leadership team.
As a program-led church, there a wide variety of teams who work together to supplement the work of our council and ministry staff. Below is just a sampling of some the groups welcoming new volunteers:
Eucharistic Ministers take communion to our homebound members and often stay for a friendly visit. They provide a bright spot and a connection to the outside world for those who are often isolated in their homes or skilled care facilities.
Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times. If you would like more information about receiving care or becoming a Stephen Minister, please contact NEED EMAIL. All inquiries and care are strictly confidential.
The Stewardship Team recognizes that we all have gifts to share whether those gifts be grounded in time, talent, treasure or any combination of the three. Stewardship helps us identify our gifts and to provide opportunities for us to use those gifts. We practice year-round stewardship which challenges us to reimagine the ways in which we steward God’s resources in response to God’s commandment to love God and our neighbors.
- The Youth and Family Team are volunteers who work directly with our Director of Child and Family Ministry and our Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry to teach Sunday School, run child and family events, volunteer in our nursery and work in all numbers of ways to support the young people of our community.
