Welcome to Luther Memorial Church! We’re a family-friendly congregation on Chicago’s North Side where people deepen their connections to God and one another.
Each Wednesday in Lent, starting February 21, we’ll come together for One-Stop Wednesday and Lenten Vespers. Join us for dinner in the Fellowship Hall at 6pm, and then at 7pm we’ll move to the Sanctuary as we pray around the cross.
At LMC, we're trying to do our part to help those affected by the migrant crisis in Chicago. At this time, due to the amazing generosity of donors, our donation room is quite full, so we can't accept any more donations of materials. If you would still like to contribute to our efforts of extending hospitality to migrants, feel free to make a financial donation. You may also donate via Zelle at email@example.com. Thank you.
We have two services each Sunday morning: an organ-led traditional service at 9am and a band-led contemporary service at 11am. We would love to see you there!
March 24 at 9am and 11am
We wave palms in celebration as Christ comes into our midst, and we follow as his path leads to death on the cross.
March 28 at 6pm
We remember Christ’s last meal with his disciples. As Jesus washed his disciples’ feet, so we are called to give and receive love in service to one another. This service will take place in the Fellowship Hall and will include a light meal and an opportunity to wash one another’s feet.
March 29 at 7pm
We stand with the disciples at the foot of the cross at this candlelit Tenebrae service, and we pray for the whole world in the ancient bidding prayer, as Christ’s death offers life to all.
March 30 at 7pm
This is the night of salvation! At the Vigil of Easter, we gather around fire, word, water, bread, and wine, proclaiming through story and song that ours is a God who continuously brings life out of death.
March 31 at 9am and 11am
Christ’s resurrection brings life to everyone. We sing hymns of praise, gather around sacred words, and proclaim God’s faithfulness, power, and love in the feast of holy communion. With the women at the tomb, we are astonished, elated, and grateful. We’ll celebrate outdoors (weather permitting) with coffee hour, a bounce house, and other activities!
We would be delighted to have you join LMC. Please speak with Pastor Lindsay or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
