Welcome to Luther Memorial Church! We’re a family-friendly congregation on Chicago’s North Side where people deepen their connections to God and one another.
LMC holds two services each Sunday—a traditional service with organ at 9am (streamed live on YouTube) and a contemporary service with the band at 11am.
March 29 at 9am and 11am
We wave palms in celebration as Christ comes into our midst, and we follow as his path leads to death on the cross.Â
Â
April 2 at 6pm
We remember Christ’s last meal with his disciples. As Jesus washed his disciples’ feet, so we are called to give and receive love in service to one another. This service will take place in the Fellowship Hall and will include a light meal and an opportunity to wash one another’s feet.
Â
April 3 at 5pm and 7pm
At 5pm, we’ll observe a children’s service. At 7pm, we’ll have our regular candlelit Tenebrae service as we stand with the disciples at the foot of the cross, and we pray for the whole world in the ancient bidding prayer, as Christ’s death offers life to all.Â
Â
April 4 at 7pm
This is the night of salvation! We start outside with s’mores. At the Vigil of Easter, we gather around fire, word, water, bread, and wine, proclaiming through story and song that ours is a God who continuously brings life out of death.
Â
April 5 at 9am and 11am
Christ’s resurrection brings life to everyone. We sing hymns of praise, gather around sacred words, and proclaim God’s faithfulness, power, and love in the feast of holy communion. We’ll celebrate outdoors (weather permitting) with coffee hour, a bounce house, and other activities!
At LMC, we're trying to do our part to help those affected by the migrant crisis in Chicago. If you would  like to contribute to our efforts of extending hospitality to migrants, feel free to make a financial donation. You may also donate via Zelle at giving@lmcchicago.org.Â
